I read an advanced reading copy. It was a good story filled with magic, murder, and mystery. It felt awkward that one character starting dropping F bombs in the middle of the book, when no one else talked like that. I was shocked I didn't figure out the mystery myself, so that was awesome.
It was ok. Had a good story between the main characters, but it didn't give a definite ending. I wish I knew more about the 3 other characters, it does follow Flora more.
Well written murder mystery. This is not my go to genre, but I really enjoyed it. The characters were well-developed without overkill. I would recommend this book.
I have read others by Betty and loved them. This was truly a historical companion for early television.
It's an LGBT, fair tale, dying young woman, science fiction work. I wanted to like it... I was really excited to get it as an ARC. I felt that the main character was too woe is me. And of the 119 pages, 26 of them are art work. So in essence, this is a short story. Hard pressed to spend $18 on it.
This could have been written as a trilogy and placed in one binding. The female lead is off for some other adventure with a fresh health start, so it could have been longer there.
