i loved this! between this and Grown, Tiffany D. Jackson is my current favorite ya author ngl.
it seems like a complaint some people had with this book was the podcast element, which personally i liked quite a bit. to me it added to the story, and i wouldn’t have liked the book as much without the podcast angle (didn’t listen to audiobook, so no clue how audio handled the podcast parts. probably well, though!).
i also have never read Carrie, but this stands on its own very well. it didn’t feel like i needed to have read Carrie to really get this one, though i’m sure that that would have added to the experience.
I’d recommend this to people who like Sadie by Courtney Summers, because that book also has a true crime podcast angle similar to this one :)

so many thoughts on this book. so many emotional, heartwrenched thoughts.
i love this book. honestly more than They Both Die At The End (and i almost never like prequels or sequels more, so that’s really a feat). they both have very similar vibes, but in a really good way.
my favorite characters were Valentino Prince and Pazito Dario. also Dalma, i love her so much andthe fact that it was valentino and orion who inspired her to create the app,,,heartwrenching . the side plot of frankie, gloria, pazito, and ronaldo was incredible. i just,, no words. i love this book.
