for being a teeny book its barely talking about wetlands. look i totally get that annie proulx wanted to write some nature nonfiction during quarantine but it probably should’ve just been a little essay newsletter 

you might like this but i really really dont :(
it was interesting enough at the beginning but the constant perspective changes are absolutely killing me. it’s not giving me time to get attached to any of the characters, and by consequence i do not fucking care about any of them

ngl i can already tell that i’m not going to like this. checked reviews and i agree with the statement that Fathomfolk needs more editing. very disappointed that this of all things was the rare book i bought instead of borrowing it from the library :/

it’s a bad sign when after reading a page of a book on libby i get bored and go start playing FreeRiderHD
i felt bad about dnf’ing this but yknow what. i read for me. and this book is horrifically boring.
