i really really wanted to like this but it just didn't work for me :( i could not get past the clunky dialogue and the romance was beyond flat. mat had no personality besides being from LA and i could not understand their relationship (maybe i just can't read about online relationships?). there were also so many pointless scenes of the mc with his friends that i was incredibly bored by. i do appreciate the representation this gives and i truly hope more ppl can read this and connect. hopefully i enjoy the author's future books more!
