This may be one of the cleverest mysteries I’ve read due to how the book is written. Also cannot say I saw the final twist coming. I can’t wait to read the next book. 

Not the best Tintin by any means, but very interesting to read the “first” Tintin comic when it has a completely different format from the others. Truly outdated and clearly biased, but that’s sadly to be expected of the time. Plus some Russian to try and learn, though it may be nonsense. 

Hilarious. It helps that I inexplicably could hear David Mitchell reciting it in my head as I read it. Please, someone get his agent so he can record an audiobook for it. 

Some truly beautiful phrases in here. At times the words seem to meander in a way I cannot quite follow, though I supposed that is the nature of translation and of poetry. 

THIS is what (further) radicalized me. Vitally important text. 

Not as enthralling as the first book, but still a very interesting continuation. And for better or worse, lots of “there she is.” 🌶️🌶️🌶️
