So this is now one of my favorite books ever. I loved it! I will 100% be re-reading it and SOON.

I was very confused by the letters in this book at first but once that was all cleared up, I loved them. The letters so clearly conveyed how desperately Leonard Peacock wanted people to care. Even if it was only the 3 people he imagined would make up his family one day. He wanted someone to hear his silent screams for help, he wanted to be caught planning his classmates murder and then his own suicide.

In a time where shootings are all to regular, I thought this book conveyed the crucial importance of good teachers who care and responsible parents who pay attention.

I LOVED this book! I love Eleanor and Raymond. I just love everything about it.

This might be the only book with a movie adaptation that I liked as much as the book!

I absolutely loved this book! I would have to re-read The Paper Magician series to definitively say which I liked more but it would be very close regardless. Alvie Brechenmacher is quirky and lovable as is Marion Praff. Holmberg's books may be short but they are no less amazing for it.

I've just finished reading this and all I can say is, "wow." To-date, the only books similar to this I've encountered are the Kite Runner and a Thousand Splendid suns, both of which I highly recommend. This is a great novel that would make any woman glad she is not "an Afghan woman." It is a little sad and tragic but it is real.
