Tropey YA fantasy heavily leaning on the brooding emotionally immature romantic interest IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED

This was interesting. Now i havent watched the movie but I've heard of it nonstop so this reminded me in some parts of The Goblin King. Its got a heavy romance feel and the whole royal family is a hardcore trope but im super curious to read book 2.

I'm confused with people not liking how this series ends. Its consistent with the series as a whole and everything is wrapped up. I thought it was interesting having Val being the emotionally eradic one for once in the book. This just felt like an evening out of the series for all the characters and plot. I've def read far more stupid endings *looks at Mockingjay* I'm actually REALLY excited to read the spin-off and see how their kids grow up.

So basically im gonna be paranoid now lol tons of interesting stories. I had never thought of doing modern autopsies and toxicology tests on centuries-old bones so thats prefty cool. I love that the "Modern Poisons" section was 95% Vladimir Putin being fucking crazy and 5% North Korea being crazy

This was so damn cute! First of all: love that the main character is a PoC. There's a lot of confusion with the lack of explanations/being thrown into the middle of a magical world but I think it actually leant itself well. You see it all through the eyes of the main character; being a human in this troll world. The ending SENT ME into chaos. I was NOT expecting any of this. I'll definitely read the sequel.

I freaking love this series. Its such a fresh diverse middle grade series! Kiranmala is just so damn smart, caring and adventurous. I adore just how smart she is! She just keeps leadnjnf and tackling each challenge as it comes. I also love incorporating like...a "Survivor" game into a book. Its just so random but fun.

I DID IT! I FUCKING DID IT! I FINISHED THIS BEAST!
