I actually think I enjoyed this more than the first one! The world and political history between all the feuding sides gets a lot more detailed. The book design is truly amazing! All the scribbles and doodles fit so well with the story and the theme. please note YOU MUST LISTEN ALONG TO THE DAVID TENANT NARRATED AUDIOBOOK TO TRULY READ THIS!
Oh this was actually a really sweet but not "too clean" of an ending! I loved all the reveals and challenges to the status quo that came out. My only real beef with it was I think Blackwood's character was changed a bit. His actions and words didn't seem like the same person as books 1 & 2
Why does Neil Patrick Harris have to hit me in the feels?! This is really such a wonderfully diverse and magical series and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting same sex parents and/or adopted family dynamic. The characters are so freaking fun and the magic lessons are such a fun idea
Oh cool! I needed another fandom and massive series to fall into! *Annoyed huff and puts rest of series on Christmas list* WHO NEEDS MONEY ANYWAY?!
Seriously though, high key obsessed with this book, the magic, the worlds, the characters the lying and mysteries. ALL OF IT!

This was alright! I found the ending to be a little anti-climactic and a cop out. It sort of suffers from "author has idea and develops one side but doesn't totally know how to explain the other side." I also found the pacing to be a little difficult--especially when things were happening and yet it still felt like we were spinning our wheels. It had potential to be really cool but the author just didn't execute it properly.

Alright...I didn't hate this as much as I thought I would lol I actually like the way they used time travel and I didn't HATE the characters! The romance felt pretty forced and just thrown in but my interest is definitely peaked enough to read book 2

Huh! This could make a really cool movie if done well! Curious about the release in August now! Really fun world and I THOROUGHLY enjoy the characters
Ga! I still love this book. Time traveling pirates trying to pull a heist in Hawaii is like an A+ premise. I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE these characters, the dramas, the romances, the setting. I really love the historical details thrown in about Hawaii and China which I feel like is pretty under done in YA.
