very moving and thoughtful. I'm always interested in books that take me through experiences and get me close to minds that I'd never have known otherwise, and this did a wonderful job of it. really made me feel so much empathy for the mother even though I was so far removed from the way she thought, Kim Hye-Jin really knows how to bring you to look her in the eye. an ambiguous ending, but well-done. doesn't leave you yearning for more, just hoping that they'll be alright.
Moderate: Chronic illness, Homophobia, Violence, Forced institutionalization, Police brutality, Dementia, Lesbophobia
had me smiling the whole way through for a variety of reasons, most of them good (I'm never not going to cringe at a fortnite reference). really very good fun and genuinely something that would have served me well in my time at secondary.
this hurt a lot to read, in a good way. as in, i could see a little too much of myself, even in a character so far removed from me. i can't really come up with words for this.
i would like to note, though, that anton hur's translation really shines here, more so than any of his other translations that i've read.

unfortunately not as cute or fun as I thought it'd be? not really in the mood to read this right now...
OHHHHH my god. oh my god. oh lord !! the horniest out of all of the series so far. I have no doubt it will get worse !! and I'm so excited about it! Meatbun really knows how to write an erotic scene!!
other than those bits, volume 6 does engage in the other plots and sets up the next arcs pretty well. I really don't have anything much new to say about this volume, it's just as good as the others in the series, if maybe a little more satisfying to read for the passionate fujo...

lovely little book, excellent use of poetry and imagery to engage the reader!! definitely something I'd get for a kid
absolutely impeccable novel. incredible characters that feel genuinely alive, a plot that reads like true destiny without being burdened with it's weight, and a message that's unfortunately still relevant. I get why everyone loved this book in school!! it's so good!!
I have adopted Sehyuk into my nightly rotation of imagined fantasies (not as a bf, I'm a lesbian) so it's safe to say this manhwa had an impact on me
mad dog is actually my favourite of haribos works, despite the fact that at the end of the road is arguably her better-planned work, with more intrigue and payoff. however I simply do not care. I love sehyuk and hamin so so much I was fighting to fit them in my dissertation n just had to cut them out cause it would've been maybe another 2000 words if I had let them stay. they're so much fun to watch bicker, and the stakes feel high enough, and every scene where they express jealousy and envy is so delicious, and the art is so good, and I haven't stopped thinking about the twitter extra of hamin taking dog hybrid sehyuk out on a walk since it came out, and—
"saramdeuri you're too obsessed w toxic yaoi" "saramdeuri when are u going to read something with a healthy relationship in it" that's all I've been doing since I finished my degree three months ago and all this health is driving me insane I need to see crazy people kiss each other or I'll go crazy myself

yeah it's a pretty good book on translation studies. better than the other one I read (bakers "in other words") and definitely more legible too.
