an excellent collection of short stories! I don't usually read shorts, but these just hooked me in right from the start. Each of these is amazing and they could all be transformed into fully fledged novels. I'll definitely keep an eye on these authors!!

full of warmth, coziness, and wisdom. kay's art style is dreamlike and a joy to see. a story to read again when the soul calls for it.

there's some lovely bits in here. I started reading this before my cat passed away and didn't pick it back after his leaving until recently. it felt good to come back to such a reflective book. though there's parts of this I don't necessarily agree with, it felt like a good reflection of what it feels like to plod onwards during bouts of depression. I enjoyed coming back to this

It was readable and the world was interesting. Couldn't care less about the characters though, typical power of love ending. One thing I noticed was that the worldbuilding was very much said and not shown - in the middle of action sequences, characters would explain, out loud, to other characters, facets of the magic system. That was just bad to read and completely took me out of the action.

it left such an impact on me, especially giovanni's massive rant and jacque's plea to "love [giovanni]". as an italian, giovanni's begging and shouting and need for love was painfully close to me. giovanni deserves better <3

I really enjoyed this. It explained a lot about me, helped me realise that it's fine to simply be.

I just don't like this writing style. The characters aren't too likeable either.
