had some interesting bits but the writing style just had me zoning out. In trying a little to seem academic, I think the author lost me despite my passion for these sorts of discussions.

A seriously entertaining series of short episodes and vignettes, essentially. With both my experience as a bookseller (albeit part-time) and my lifelong love of manga, this was really something that felt like it was made specifically for me. So much fun!

A really heartwarming look into life at a refugee camp. This is so full of hope it's almost painful.
Some decent nuggets of information, but very much USA-centric and western-focused even if it has a section on "making friends in other countries." I particularly disliked the section on patriotism, like "it is not patriotic to dodge the draft" and the main focus on failing democracies being "Europe". You can do better than this, even if it's a watered down graphic novelisation of a full-length book. I encourage anyone looking to read this to find similar outlooks on tyranny by authors who aren't part of the western world as we call it today.

So far this is a really entertaining take on the magical girl genre. The gender implications here alone are so funny to me. What if I could transform into tuxedo mask? How would that change me? Would I still go to work the next day? Yeah, probably. This was just such a fun read. I can't take any "points" off it because I didn't find anything bad while I was reading it. I'll have to look out for the next volumes for sure!!

I read this in about two days so. I think I can confirm that I still really like this series and I think it holds up well! What can I say, it was fun.

귀엽고 인물들이 다 안아주고 싶어요 ^^ 이미 영어로 읽었는데 한국말로 어떤 문장들이 조금 다른 느낌이 (?) 들어서 다시 읽는 게 재미있었어요.

a long reflection on the main characters family life, mainly focusing on her relationship with her husband and herself. I have very little knowledge on Senegal, so it was very interesting to explore daily life like this. I think the fact that i read this digitally was to my detriment though - there's a lot of footnotes that I'd have liked to flick through while reading. I liked the characters voice, very soothing.
