Perfectly mindless and predictable reading to bring a bit of comfort after having to witness yet another example of the absolute disaster that is our country and current president.

I don't know how I feel about this.

So often I avoid reading Fantasy. It takes so much effort to understand a new world hierarchy, and vocabulary. But my group of book gals chose this as a group read and I begrudgingly started it.

I was hooked in the first 50 pages. Here's a short list of a reasons.

1. There's a people descended from a great manatee.

It's a no for me.
