I haven't purchased a book in ages. This will be on my to buy list.
I could have used a friend like Anne when I was young. I think I would have appreciated this book more if I read it when I was younger.
This book peaked my interest because it combines two of my loves, books and cooking. I enjoyed reading about the authors experiences with books throughout her life, but I found most the recipes to be either uninteresting or pretentious. I did come in contact with sever books I'd never heard of and added them to my "to read" list so not all is lost.
There are several differences between the book and the movie. Netflix definitely played on a love story to get a deeper emotional reaction from the audience, whereas the author focuses on the strength of Mallory to carry her through to the end. Definitely worth the read , even if you've already watched the movie.
2.75 stars...Everything about this book sounded right up my alley. However, I was constantly left wanting. The ending was sweet and a great culmination of of his journey, I just wish there was more meat in the middle.
Definitely the most predictable of the series so far. I had a hard time getting through this one. The combination of strong Irish slang and dialogue and the lengthy descriptions didn't hold my attention.
