For a variety of reasons the writing style and syntax didn't sit well with me. The use of an unreliable, emotionally unstable female narrator is overused in the wake of the equally unsatisfying The Girl on the Train.

I was super excited about this book set in Orlando, Florida with the main characters attending FSU and UCF. However, My excitement quickly plummeted with the slow start. I kept waiting for it to get better and more interesting, but it didn't.

I think the author did a great job or portraying her teenage characters and their friendships and romantic relationships in an authentic and realistic way.

Maybe I'm just too old to enjoy this book for what it is.

I kept waiting for a shift, or a change of pace, or anything to make it better. It was very slow moving and I felt unresolved at the end.

Humorous and quirky while being suspenseful and tackling some tough subjects. Loved all of it until the last chapter or two. The author was tying up loose ends but in the process I became less interested.
