I loved the story of June and Toby!

I knocked off a star because I didn't like the story lines of June's sister and her mother. I have a sister who is one year younger so I understand sibling rivalry from a teenage girl point of view. In this story it didn't feel authentic, but maybe my relationship was just more healthy than June and Greta's. Also, I think the climax was bumbled. I'm not sure how I pictured it happening, but that wasn't it.

If you're looking for an adult dystopian novel, this is it. I loved the changes in POV and how everyone was related in one way or another. Also, it was interesting because it took place in a future Michigan.

This was a fun read. The narrator is very clinical and doesn't understand social cues. I think he has Asperger's although it didn't ever say he did. The story is about how he decides to use a huge survey to find a wife. That sounds like a dumb storyline, but since it's told from his point of view it's pretty funny.

I found this very disjointed, and I agree with another reviewer who pointed out that there's no way this woman remembered all these conversations decades later (and the book is heavy on dialog). Maybe that contributed to the disjointed feel. Made it hard to get absorbed in the story.

So weird. Some parts were funny like the lady who was desperate to see a cat video after being disconnected too long. Some parts were probably good social commentary, but I didn't get the sub-context.
