I loved the way the author wove fairy tales into real world sayings and ideas (for Grimm's sake, Hans Christian Louboutin slippers), but the main character was pretty unlikable in the beginning and her transformation into a more thoughtful, unselfish girl was done quickly and hard to believe.
Wow, what a crazy good way to end a book. Love/hate a heart - pounding cliffhanger.
Great cover, great idea, good execution. I loved Westie and her foul mouth and headstrong self, but I found the romances annoying. Every boy her age was good looking and sweet on her, which caused a lot of blushing on her part. Would have preferred more detail about the world and Nigel's inventions and less about the crushes.
