This was a neat take on magic. I liked the plot, but the characters felt flat to me. It was hard to believe that the main character really connected with her magician teacher after just a day or two.

The only thing better than reading it would be listening to the audio.

I binge-watched the tv series first and loved the supporting cast but was slightly annoyed by the main character, Piper. Then I picked up the book. I liked the book although it was harder to keep all the characters straight as I tried to compare them to their tv counterparts. I did like the narrator better in the book. She doesn't come off as whiny as on the show.

Love the imagination in this book. I rarely say this, but it has the potential to be an awesome movie.

I liked the concept of traveling to alternative dimensions. I wish the main character had been a stronger heroine.

Another great adventure! I love the setting and all the characters.

I loved Zac, but Mia was a little harder to like. Zac is the reason for 4 stars.
