Why would someone want to do what Austin does? Not talking about the biking....
This book was ok for me. It would go really slow, then pick up speed and then go slow again. Most of it was slow.
I don't blame Alexis for not picking up on her boyfriend's (of 6 months) nefarious activities.... He was very good at playing the good guy.
I learned a lot more about rats than I wanted to know through this.

Mr. Coben really knows how to write a fast paced, amazing thriller!

What if a stranger came up to you and spilled a secret you have or a loved one has? Would you write them off as crazy or would you go to find out the truth?

Adam finds out a secret of his wife, Corrine's. What he stumbles onto is bigger than he would have thought possible.

The action never seems to stop. We see more people with secrets revealed that have as much to lose as Adam.... Maybe more.

I really enjoy a great historical fiction novel! Especially when it brings me information about an era I know little about.
I didn't really know about Franco's rule in Spain. I didn't know how oppressive the country was, especially religiously. I didn't know the dark history which plays a big part in this book. (Make sure to read the author's note for how long this darkness lasted)
I love Daniel, on a business trip with his Texan oil man father and his mother, who has Spanish heritage. In the hotel he meets worker Ana, a girl his age that helps him see the beauty and the darkness that Spain has to offer.
I wasn't bothered by the multiple voices that lend to the story and I felt that it flowed along nicely.
I will definitely read Ruta's backlist!

Just as good as the first. Meena is starting her witch training and she's proving to be a force. She is selfless and wants to help others. She's a bit of a rule breaker but I don't blame her. There is something going on in this school and I just know Meena is going to solve it.

Wow! This book was so good!
What would you do if your mom was murdered and you thought it might have been you, but you were struck by lightning soon after and lost some memories?
Yeah, that's what happens to Eva. That's not the only thing. Her whole life is not what it seems. She goes to London to find answers but the answers at home in Seattle are just as crazy.
I had no reason to like Liam, Eva's fiancee, through the whole book. I had an inkling of why but I turned out to be totally wrong! But the truth gave me still very valid reasons to dislike him.
This was a great thriller to get lost in!

2.5
This was a paranormal romance thriller. I did not enjoy the "50 shades of gray" between Ava and Captain Brody. I can't help but wonder if it was all in her head, in her drunken stupor that she ever "saw" him.
What intruiged me was the mystery of all these woman who have lived in the house and had died-mysterious or otherwise.

I want to thank Bibliofinder and Sourcefire books for the free book and the opportunity to review.

Bullying and hate can spread like wildfire. Especially in this day of social media and Photoshop.
Anna made a mistake at her old school but it was spread by some she thought she trusted. The past somehow followers her to her new school. But with the help of a history project, on a woman named Maggie accused of witchcraft in the 1600s, Anna might find the strength and courage to face it down.
I felt bad for her small mistake that wasn't for anyone to know. I felt bad that she didn't have friends to help her stand up against the bullies until near the end. This book will defintely make you think about how you might judge others.

Everyone has secrets to hide..... No one expects them to be found out and especially not by hundreds of thousands of people!

Aldrich University among some Ivy League schools have emails hacked and sent out for all to see. Then crap hits the fan. Someone loses their life.

This book is full of deplorable people. I didn't like ANY of the men. Most of the women aren't much better.

The ending of the book was shocking, I didn't expect THAT person to be the killer.

I really liked that this book talked about hard issues, but in a way that was bittersweet. It also made you think of your own life and choices you might have to make one day.

Family is everything but what if something you did had a direct result in the death is a family member? What if the one place you vowed to not return to called you back because of family?

Cam comes back from war to a town he never wanted to step foot in again. All because of a phone call from his dad, currently suffering from early onset Alzheimer's. His dad has a plan for how how his life should end and the one brother who stuck around won't give him.

Cam also has to come back and face Willow, a girl he's always loved but who almost married his brother Sullivan-the brother who died in Afghanistan.

Cam made a lot of bad choices as a youth and the whole town feels such contempt for him. Except Willow. She knows the truth and who's to blame. It all comes out at the end and its intense.

This was an amazing book that made me laugh and cry.

This was a fast read but oh so fun!
Meena finds out she's a witch and gets magically transported to a college for magical people. She doesn't have the greatest start but she quickly finds out how powerful she is!
She also stumbles onto something nefarious going on on the campus and I can't wait to read the next installment to see where the story goes!
