A gripping thriller about a kidnapped girl and an investigation by the girls brother that brings him to Kim, a teacher in Australia, to wonder "am I that missing girl?"
Kim follows Stuart to America to answer that question and finds a town torn apart by the kidnapping and a local "church"/cult.
The ending threw me for a loop! Crazy ending.

A story that follows an Irish boy, Cyril (not a real Avery!) throughout his life. Very detailed writing. Full of interesting characters and very hard situations. I enjoyed from the 80's on the most and I flew through part 3. You'll laugh and you'll cry with this book!
I kind of struggled with this until some 200 or so pages in. I couldn't stand Violet- she was very controlling and it really bugged me. Her husband, Ed, and her friends Richard and Eldris I couldn't really stand either. The only ones I liked were Cherise and Barb. There was a scene in the book that had me laughing out loud, but that's the only real enjoyment I got out of it. .
A little bit of a different type of thriller for me. We have Winter who is a meditation guide and Jack who is a lucid dreamer. Jack uses his gift to work on cold cases and one especially that has haunted him for decades.
What follows is their quest to hunt Quinton Zane, a cult leader with a connection to Jack.
The writing was fast paced and flowed along well! It's the third in a series but read well as a standalone.

I liked the book well enough I guess but not as well as the first. I didn't like Noah through most of this book, which is sad because I liked him in the first one. . I hope that in the third, I can end up liking him again.
I was so glad to be able to read the end Charlie's unique visions follow her there and get her entangled in a missing persons case. There are some very intense and crazy moments and I was never sure who the "bad guy" would turn out to be.
Hester's writing is superb and reads easily. I read through the last 50% really quickly!

Haunting, eerie tale that constantly kept my heart rate up..... Afraid of what was going to happen next with this seemingly volatile relationship between a father and his daughter and his new fiancee.
All Vicky wanted to be was a pop star and she gets noticed and is on her way to making her wish a reality..... But a big roadblock is thrown at her when her management decides to sue her at 15 years old.
This was a unique story in the way it was written, but I was expecting more of the legal battle than was presented. Although I did enjoy the insights into her life and family.
My thanks to Vicky for letting me read and review this book.

Well written story that was hard to put down. The ending was a total unexpected thing to me but as the mysteries were revealed, I caught myself looking back at certain parts and going "ah, so that's why!" Great debut!
I loved getting inside glimpses into this crazy, crazy show! I loved that they just didn't talk to the producers and directors etc.... but also talked to some of the actors. Definitely recommend this book to any fans of the show.
