It's crazy how different life is in different areas of the world! I would not want to go through giving up a child because it was born a daughter instead of a son. I actually did like learning about the Indian culture, sad as some of it may have been.
All in all a good read, made me cry at times and laugh at times like a good book should do IMO.

There were parts that I loved, but most of this book felt too long and boring to me....although I will give the second book in the series a try

probably 1 and a half stars if that was an option
