What a beautiful and heartfelt novel. I can just see myself in the town of Cape May. The way it's painted in the story just sounds like a small town I'd want to live in.
I loved each of the women... Goldie, Krystal and Jocelyn. I like hearing about their pasts that make them the women they are today. They each have a lot to overcome and they form a friendship that is golden. It proves that age has nothing to do with who you heart can grab onto.
I felt the most for Goldie. The guilt and secrets she had to hold close to her. But I love the choices she made and the way she helped watch over someone in spite of it.

Beautiful dual timeline of WW2 and 1985.
Rory (1985) is grieving her fiancee Hux being captured abroad. While out walking, she finds a town house that calls to her and she doesn't know why. She rents it for an art gallery Hux wished for her to open. While renovating, she finds a hidden box that contains a wedding dress and letters and sets her off to solve its mystery.
Soline is a dressmaker in wartime Paris. She falls in love with an American Anson but they are soon turns apart. She makes her way to America and has lived for 40 years with the knowledge that Anson is gone.
I love how the two stories are interwoven. I love the two women. They are both strong and resilient in their own ways. The friendship they form leads the way toward a different end than either thought possible. You will need some tissues by your side near the end, tears were definitely shed! It was so beautifully, magnificently written and it captivated me throughout!

This is book 6 of the series. I have read books 1-3 that deal with the Chamberlain family too (books 4 & 5 I haven't read yet but deal with roommates of Emily from book 1)
This book is about Nick, the youngest Chamberlain boy. He hooked up with a girl at his brother's wedding and kept an affair up for awhile until it fell apart.... Though he kept it a secret from his family and friends.
Shelby is making her living as a graphic designer. After she ends the affair with Nick... She runs into him in an unexpected place... While she's forced to model a wedding gown for a photo shoot and Nick walks in.
They both realize through time that they still are fallen head over heels for each other. When Nick schemes to get her back, he's more respectful this time around.
They are such a sweet couple. I love a hook up that turns into something real. I just love Nick's dad and what he tells Shelby.... He's such a sweet dude and knows what she needs to hear to fully give Nick her heart
This book was utterly adorable and readable in a day. If you haven't read books 1-3 though you might feel a bit lost as there's a lot of history from those books in this one.

I went into this book thinking it was one thing but it was different than I thought I'd find.
Cooper and Finch are father and daughter living in the woods in a cabin. Isolated from everyone and living off supplies brought once a year by his ex military buddy. Cooper is hiding from his past and his mistakes.
Then they find out they have a neighbor Scotland. Watching them from afar. Wondering if the past is going to start catching up to Cooper.
This book did not make me want to ever live off grid! It was atmospheric and eerie. I never knew the intent of Scotland, he surprised me at the end!

This book was a lot longer and convoluted (this could just be me...I found it hard to follow. Tons of info thrown at you to sort through) than it should have been.
There were aspects I liked. I love the relationship that the MC, Susan, has with her dad. I liked that he got to help her with the investigation. I really like Thomas though he's not a big part...I just thought he was good for Susan's mom in his helping her.
I thought the big mystery was going to be about Trudy (after all, that's the title name). But her "disappearance" was wrapped up pretty quickly. She did know some things of the other mystery (of the Roth family) but as she was institutionalized, she couldn't help.

As second books go, this was a little harder to get into and for it to get going.
Natalie is pulled into another murder in Burning Lake. A violinist is found murdered during a Halloween celebration in the town. This brings up memories and more questions regarding her childhood friend Bella who was also a violinist.
I still like Natalie. She's having a hard time after the events of book 1 but she's doing the best she can. I still want her and Luke together so the events at the end were a surprise and I can't wait to see what goes on in book 3!

This book deals with silver heavy topics like grief, loss, drug addiction, loneliness, and homelessness.
A big storm is brewing in this Colorado town and at the small library are Nora the librarian, Marlene a grumpy but sad old woman, Lewis a homeless man, Jasmine a teenager with a secret, and Vlado a security guard. They get snowed in and have to deal with each other through a long night.
I loved each and every one of these characters. It took a bit to warm to Marlene but by the end, they were all permanently stamped in my heart. They help each other break through what they are going through. I admired Nora that while in her quest to find out what happened to her brother, she cares so much for those that don't have a home and while some view her as a bleeding heart...I think she's an angel in disguise. I did not want to leave these characters but did leave with a smile on my face!

I am so happy Kristy decided to write a 4th book in this series! I love this family of women. This is perfectly set during Christmas time.
The Murphy's are back on Peachtree Bluff for the Christmas holidays. Caroline has come because she's getting a divorce and her 15 year old Vivi is acting out. But a hurricane is coming and this family will be tested.
I have read all the Murphy girls books and this was just a perfect addition. The hurricane is scary and it destroys the town but the way that the town bands together to put their lives back together.... This is somewhere I want to live. Neighbor helping neighbor in good times and bad.
I loved all the happy endings for this family in this book. This book made me smile and laugh and I'm now sad it's over!

This was not at all creepy like the title might suggest but I still liked it.
Kit is an out of work actress that lost her husband on 9/11 and has a daughter in a coma. Ever since then, she's made her living by communicating with the dead. She's very good at what she does, but it's all an act. She researches the people she's supposed to be contacting so she can give their loved ones some closure. But then..... Strange things start happening that make her questions her abilities.
David is a detective that is assigned with his partner to investigate Kit. But he's not all he seems and things start not adding up with him.
It was a fun book and good for the spooky season
