Man, the gymnastics world just sounds so brutal. There was a lot of description (too much in my opinion) of taping up toes, hands, blisters, etc.... All that comes with the world.

Sera (and her friend Lucy) wants to go to the Olympics like every other gymnast. She will do anything she can to get there. Work hard, never play. Be the best. Even if it means screwing someone else over!

When Lucy is constantly abused and she finally decides to speak out about it, Sera does not have her back and keeps quiet, saying she's making it up. Lucy leaves because of this and Sera continues on without her. That made me so upset....Sera was in the room sometimes while Lucy was being abused but of course the doctor says it's all "a medical necessity" talking advantage of the fact that they were so young at the time, they may not have known exactly that it was abuse. (Which is another sad fact that their parents never talked to them about sexual abuse?)

There are a lot of parallels in this book to the real life scandal of the doctor that sexually abused so many gymnasts over so many years. There are a lot of familiar names of real gymnasts that I got excited over if I knew the name well (like Simone Biles).

I love a great family drama and the fact that these guys are Irish- even better!

Sunday ran away from her family 5 years ago but after a car accident, her brother Denny convinced her to come back.

She comes back to a bit of a broken family and her ex boyfriend, Kale. Denny is opening up another pub with Kale and they are running into some trouble- tying into the reason Sunday ran away.

Big family secrets come out in this story. I love how much they are genuinely care for each other. They are flawed for sure, but aren't we all? I read this book in two days and it was a great family drama.

This seemed like a nice wrap up to the mysteries of the other two books.

I really hated Troy. When he "changed", I knew it wasn't real. What a jerk! But Mickey, bless him... He likes to try and see the good in people!

I had so much fun with this book.

Jessie is fired from her banking job (where she did a lot of work but got hardly enough credit) and it's forced to move back home while she figures things out. She runs into her childhood nemesis, Daniel, who used to be an annoying bowl cut boy but now is a successful.... And hot man.

I just saw so much more passion from Jess as she relaunches her YouTube channel (with unexpected but loved guest star mom) to help spice up old boring meal kits with Korean flair. (Ok to be fair, we didn't see a lot of her banking job but the environment was just sexist and racist from the little we see at the beginning of the book).

I really actually like Daniel. He does go about some things wrong in the book along the way, but he's funny and is helpful in other ways.

I love the friendship Jessie forms with Flora- and their "meet cute" (cause friends can have those!)

Oh and this book WILL make you hungry... Just saying!

This was very cute. Dylan and Emily are adorable. They have been friends since the second grade and in their sophomore year of college together. Trouble is Dylan has been in love with Emily forever and Emily is dating Zach- his brother!

Emily finds a ring in Dylan's backpack. She figures he's going to prepare to his not-so-long-dating girlfriend Denise. She wants to stop him from making a big mistake so she enlists the help of her roommates.

I laughed at what she wanted them to do! I wouldn't have done it because awkward! I love that this book had the guy in love with the girl without her really knowing. It's usually the other way around. I really thought this was just a cute, adorable story and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!

I have to be honest and say Zach isn't my favorite person in these books. He's a little full of himself.

But I still enjoyed this because of Jenna. Jenna is a no nonsense girl. She doesn't take Zach's crap. I did like the part of them pretending to date because I just like that trope... Even if the pretending was short lived.
I just love that she called him on stuff. I felt that she brought him more down to earth.

In the end, I'm glad that they got together and that they are actually a very cute couple at the end.

This wasn't really the type of book for me. I couldn't relate to the situation of dating apps (I met my husband, while on the internet, way before dating apps came around). But I am very glad to say that I didn't have to go through trying them.... It sounds just awful.

I kind of enjoyed the awkward dates Jessica found. It made me laugh when the date was way more interested in her then she was in them. I mostly enjoyed the relationship she had with her kids and it was funny that they all tried dating apps together. How awkward would that be?

I think this would be perfect for someone going through the same thing or close to it.

I thought this was a cute book. Who knew they'd actually go through with the pact?

This is a story of Will and Hannah. On a drunken night in college, they made a pact to get married to each other if they both were single at 30. Then after Hannah turns 30, Will comes to collect.

Will wants to enact the pact so he can become a partner in his dad's company. Hannah needs health insurance for her knee and her company can't afford a plan for her.

Of course, you know that they will probably start to actually fall in love at some point. There are some mistakes from the past that will come and haunt their marriage.

I loved that Hannah worked for a music magazine that her friend heads up. There are two people in Will's life that try to wreck the marriage before it can really get started. This was a fast read, friends to lovers and more romcom.

This book follows Olive through the 1920s where she has always loved singing and dancing. She had always known she wanted to be on the stage, specifically in Ziegfeld's Follies. She has a chance meeting with him and then runs immediately (after a big secret keeps her with an aunt for a few months) to New York to join. Even though he rejects her at first, she soon joins the show.

She meets handsome Archie and falls in love with him and his bohemian ways. They both have secrets and each chooses to leave each other at one time or another but they always find their way back.

Olive does a lot that she's not proud of. She drinks to excess and doesn't always act the way her family hopes she will, but I love her fierceness and determination to go after what she wants.

I love to learn all I can about the Roaring 20s and this was a fabulous book to dive into.

I just love a small town romance. Add in enemies to lovers and it's just top notch!

Dillion (or Darlin' or Dee) left this small town of hers for college and has been gone for 10 years. When her brother gets a bit in trouble, she heads home to help in her dad's business in her brother's absense.

Next door is her beloved neighbor (who felt like family) Bee's home where her grandson, Van has come to clean out the place after her passing.... And some unfortunate trouble in the home front. Dillion goes to investigate who's at the house.... And she gets an eye full when she happens upon him!

Soon they are bickering at each other every time they come across one another. I love how they pushed each other's buttons until they pushed each other in other ways
