I just adored everything about this book. The characters and their hard knocks that life has handed them. This has a doggie day care which is totally fun with like seriously the best two dogs ever- Hog and Killer.
I liked the budding romance between Emma and Simon but what I loved more was the "frenemies to friends" relationship between Emma and Ali. There are misunderstandings galore as to why they were enemies in high school and the way they get it all out in the open together is fun.
What I loved the most was Dale. He may be a man that needs to be looked after by his son (Simon) after some strokes, but he's so funny while being a bit curmudgeonly.
This is a book you don't want to miss and now I need to read some more of this series!

Readforever Pub and Grand Central Pub did not steer me wrong when they said (on a video talking about books) this was a book to not be missed!
From the way it starts (it had me laughing) to the way it ends, is perfect.
Genevieve (Eva) and Shane- seem to be kindred spirits from 7 days together in high school to 7 days 15 years later. I feel that their connection was stronger 15 years later... They both needed that 15 years to figure out their own place in the world, separate, before they could every work together well.
Eva is such a powerful woman. She writes erotica. She is a warrior trying to live her life with a chronic illness- an invisible one, one that can be so debilitating. The author handled this really well (I just learned that she herself has this chronic illness). She is a fierce protector of her daughter.
Shave is a man haunted by choices made by him and for him as a young man. I love how he helps kids that need some direction.
Their love story isn't easy and they have to work for it, but I loved every minute of it. Read 75% in one day and flew through the last 25% the next.

This book starts out with a murder. A witness that then goes missing. A drop of blood that comes back as a familial match to nurse Lily Baker... Not how can they be when she has no family alive to speak of?
Past (when Lily was held captive) and present collide for Lily. Kylie is back on the case and she's just as smart and resourceful as in the first book.
This book has twist, turn and shock one after another! I'm glad that Lily and Iver are still together. I just wish we had got to see more of them together again.
I'm glad Lily gets some more of get past/memories back to her.
This book deals with a drug ring, trauma and rape.

I love a fake dating or in this case fake engagement.
Hugh lies to his mother in America that he's engaged to Minerva for 2 long years. When his mother decides it's time to come to England to meet this fiancée, Hugh panickes!
Until he runs into a destitute looking woman named Minerva on the street and convinces her to pose as his made up fiancée until his mother for back to America.
I love that they had plans to get them out of this fake engagement but even that goes awry!
This book is full of laughs. There are lies built upon lies (Hugh Congress up with all these stories to his mother shoot his courtship and then expects his "fiancée to keep it all straight)
The only unbelievable thing was that he actually ran into someone with the exact name as this made up woman. I even wanna more from High and Minerva... There wasn't enough longing as they start to fall in love. It left me hoping for a bit more but I also read through the book really fast.
This was a good first installment and I hope we get to see the two sisters of Minerva as the other books.

This was a highly enjoyable look at Titans/Gods of Greek mythology.
Althea is told by her dying mother to take care of her sisters at all costs. Even her half human/half Titan sister that had been stolen by the Gods. After one of her sisters Cleora, is taken, Althea runs into The Fates that foretell her she is the one who can take Cronus (the God of Gods) down.
She must journey to Crete (an island of all woman) to find the hidden boy Zeus, Cronus's son. Along the journey is Theo, a soldier that defects from the army and her sister Bronte.
I loved Althea. She bowes down to no one. She is strong and convinces Zeus and the women of Crete to help build an Army.
It was a thrilling tale and a very easily read story that I flew through! I can't wait for book 2!

Oh wow! This book is so very Hitchcockian/Gothic in nature. It was such a page turner!
Little Ruby is left in an underground cave at Ruby Falls by her father, while they are on a guided tour. He's lost to the falls and assumed dead.
20 years later, Ruby (now Eleanor), is a new Hollywood actress and married in a whirlwind romance to Orlando. They find a house fast in Hollywood and start to settle down as a newlywed couple. But the Orlando of now isn't the guy she thought she married. He's mean and often cynical towards Eleanor.
This book takes everything that you think you know and twists it on its head! It's the kind of psychological thriller that I love. I love the unreliable. This book had it in spades. I was "mouth hung open and couldn't close it' after I finished. It feels like it would have made a great old time Hollywood classic film.

Oh my how I love the Russian. Vlad is the one who has always made me laugh so hard in these books and I am so glad he got his own story!
Vlad and Elena are childhood friends from Russia and they have a marriage of convenience only (which isn't totally true as Vlad has always loved her). They haven't lived together for 6 years but when Vlad is injured in a hockey game, she vows to stay and take care of him until he's back on his feet.
In this book, the book club isn't reading a romance novel, they are trying to help Vlad finish a romance story that he's writing. But as all the rest, this book being written will help in his relationship with Elena. I love their book club meetings for this one! I think my favorite side "bro" in this is Colton. He is always there taking care of things with Vlad and being even more comic relief. I really hope he gets a story!

This book was quite fun though not what I was expecting. I did like most of the characters (very indifferent to Alan).
Sarah, Will and Anna are the children of Debbie- who is a hoarder of royal collectibles and Alan- who wasn't a very attentive father.
When Will gets a job with hoarding show STUFF, he volunteers his mom and her house- without her knowledge. He also convinces his new boss, Pierce, to bring Sarah on as a consultant. (Pierce is a dreamy, Southern gentleman/charmer)
You can imagine the things that happen after that. The mom of course thinks she needs all the stuff she has and will NOT get rid of it. The kids start to fight on who has to placate the mom the best. They even threaten to have their dad take the house away from her.
What will it take for Debbie to see that things are not as important as family?

This was an adorable "forced proximity, fake marriage" story of Mac, Brooke, and Daisy.
Mac and Daisy have been on their own since ex-wife stepped out on them.
Brooke has moved away from her overbearing parents to make it on her own. She has a part time job at a library which she almost gets fired from. Until Mac recuses that job and offers her another- to be a nanny to his little girl Daisy.
Brooke agrees, but only for a month until Daisy starts Kindergarten. It all goes well until she starts falling for them both..... And get mom decides to do by and try to bring her home.
This book was so adorable. It was full of laughs and I swear Daisy is just about the cutest little girl ever! I love the names she calls Brooke's parents- MeeMaw and PeePaw! Mac feels he has to hide a big part of who he is, but when certain things come out about Brooke's family... He finds out he didn't really have to hide it. Their fake marriage is just so fun...I really thought Daisy would spoil that they weren't really married instead of who did

I got about halfway through and then got bored.
At first, I liked Amy. She was working as a "chambermaid" at a yacht club while she waits to take her EMT certification for the 3rd time. She doesn't like her job particularly or who she works with. So she decides that to pass the exam this time, she needs a placebo. She pretends she also passed, she outta it a certificate and a card that shows she's an EMT.... So thinks just believing will translate to doing.
She shares evening meals with her landlord Gary as he practices for his fiancée Irina (who he met on a cruise) to come over from Russia (I think, can't remember).
So the first half I liked but didn't like the rest.
