This is not just a case of he said/she said in the rape of Beth, but also in the he said/she said of Kit and Laura. They each had a secret of there own. When Laura starts to become friends with Beth I started to worry. I did always believe that Beth had been raped but she acted so weird and got too close too fast in my opinion. Then them hiding from her for 15 years in what is really Kit's making. I can't believe he was the one to do those things and made Laura think it was Beth.
I really liked the aspect of Kit being an "eclipse chaser". I kind of get the thrill that must go with that. During the eclipse last year, we went up to Idaho and got to see 100% totality and it was just awesome! Also, there is a lot of skipping around in time between Laura and Kit and you really have to pay attention to those dates they have at the beginning of the chapters!

I really loved this story! (I thought I read somewhere it's to be a trilogy and I hope so.... There has to be more)
Ella is living on the East side of Germany as the Berlin Wall goes up. Her adopted brother and best friend make it over the wall before it's completed but Ella stays behind to care for her dying, adoptive father. After his death, she goes to work for a rich man who has involvement with bad men. She eventually (although one time, he's quite rude to her in front of his friends) falls in love with the son, Stefan, even though they would never be allowed together. Not only because of their status, but because of their different skin color.... Stefan is white and Ella is black. A lot happens in their secret relationship until Stefan is forced to join the army for 10 years.
It's a beautiful love story in a very hard time in history!

"This isn't a love story".....I really liked following Lula and her story. I kind of understand why she does what she did in this story. The beginning is heart breaking. We get "half dead" beings that wreak havoc on the city because of Lula's choices. I also loved getting to see the youngest sister, Rose, come into her powers and what a cool one she has....
I have a feeling book 3 will be centered around her 🤞

A book about the good (self expression) and the bad (again.... Self expression) of social media. I like Ivy. She always meant well, even when it didn't turn out. I was bummed out with Harold until he redeemed himself at the end. I'm glad Ivy found a friend in Nate when Harold wasn't there.
Good story about an aunt and a niece trying to move on with life after the death of their sister and mother, respectively. April, on a journey to try and find out who her father was from a "list" in her mother's diary. Lise trying to forgive her sister for taking her song and then becoming famous off it after being a parent to her (since their parents weren't fit for it).
There are horrible people every where in this novel (all kinds that go along with being a celebrity in this world) with one that kind of redeemed herself.

What a tragic story! Poor Sally and all she went through at the hands of that monster who took her. The end had me crying!
I love this high flying adventure of my favorite tale, Sleeping Beauty!
I love how fierce and independent Isla is. Cap. Pickett is fabulous and dreamy! I definitely need to read more steam punk stories!

Sabrina makes a list of 5 people, dead or alive, she'd have a dinner party with at 19 years old. Then she walks into her 30th birthday party to find them all there. Robert-dad who abandoned her, Jessica-best friend who she made the list with, Conrad-a college professor she loved, Audrey Hepburn, and her fiancee,Tobias.
Through the book we learn the history Sabrina has/had with each of them.
I found that, although Sabrina and Tobias were dating for 9 years/engaged, they really probably shouldn't have stuck together that long and their relationship bugged me. Not as great as I thought it might have been, but I did enjoy the ending once Sabrina learned to "let go" of certain things..... Thanks to wise Audrey Hepburn

I enjoyed the "thens" more than the "nows". The now Quinn bugged me so much, I wanted to shake her and tell her to talk to Graham through this terrible thing they have been going through! Not that Graham was any better. I'm glad they found their way back to each other in the end though.
King Midas's cursed daughter, high sea adventures, and dashes of romance? I loved this story! I feel there could be a sequel.....
