Owen and Annette's relationship is fun. Her brothers are mischievous, but not horrible like their Aunt thinks...... they are just being little boys. Aunt Ruth is a terrible, terrible person! I'm glad the book didn't deal with her much. Charlotte (I read her book first) I did not like here.

This was a darling book! It always felt weird with Sophia and Brand. So in contrast, I adored Prudence and Brand. Once the misunderstanding was cleared between the two at the beginning of the book, they seemed to fall quickly into being friends and then quickly into love.
I am so excited to hear that there will be a book with Sophia's and Abby's stories each!

Wow.......... just wow! I did NOT see that coming. Creepy and so good! I just had this feeling of hating Adam and his mom through most of the book...... what a wrong feeling about one of them.....

*3 1/2 stars*
An eerie, creepy, suspenseful tale..... you think you know who is speaking and who's diary entries you are reading..... it may be the same as the person who in the hospital, in a coma but aware of what's going on around her, or it may not be. I was thrown for a loop with that one. The ending POSSIBLY could lead to a sequel, although where to go from there.....I would have no idea!

What a fabulous book! I cried and I laughed. I cheered and I grunted with frustration. I really liked Kit and her persistence to get back into her family after her absence. I adored Margaret and her determination (though, not surprisingly, low points of feeling like nothing was worth it anymore). I was all in with Ian and my heart was in my throat from the time he went back to Scotland until he reunited with Maggie.....I knew he was lying about his feelings!
I highly recommend this book and I'm definitely going to read her other novels

well written and creepy. I really hate Phillip and for good reason! I can't believe what he put the women in his life through. he deserved everything he got, at the end and leading up to the end!

A dark story in the world of a serial killer and a pychiatrist trying to cope with the murder of her sister 16 years ago. Delt a lot with mental illness. it's sad what some illnesses can make a person think and do. I was back and forth in my thinking of who the killer was and it surprised me when you find out who it was. I didn't see that coming at all!
Great book and let me find a new author to read

A magical, crazy world of witches! Los Lagos seems like such a creepy place..... can't wait for the second book!

Took me a long time to get through the first part. Owen was a total scum. I think the book really picked up when Claire met Lissie and Antonia came to help her out. Good story though about starting your life over after your marriage breaks up

this is a very slow paced book. Hanna is kind of hard to get to know as she closes out most people. I do like that she travels to other towns to give them library books that they might otherwise not be able to get. I felt that there could have been a bit more romance (there isn't a whole lot) and that might have made me give more stars..... it was ok, not was I was expecting or hoping.
