I laughed, I cried and I am ready for the second book. Honestly the writing in this felt so different to anything I've ever read. I think because it is so extremely timely and yet universal. I loved how April was written and how, sometimes in the worst way, relatable she was. I was so frustrated with her for a lot of pages, but somehow in a good way. And the relationships between her and her friends or her parents were so beautifully realistic. I can really recommend this book.

(And how weird is it, that aliens in contemporary books about humans being a humans and how beautiful this is, with a mix of LGBTQ and PoC representation, is a whole thing that we're loving? I'm also looking at you Shaun David Hutchinson)

4.5 Stars!

My favorite book from the series (so far) ! I loved Lundy as a character so so much. The whole story was beautifully written and I especially liked the narration through out the Book. There was a feeling of nostalgia and melancholia underlying the whole story which I loved.

Reread a year later and I enjoyed the story and especially the characters even more than the first time ✨✨✨
