great compilation of speeches. with them we get a sense of the history of the gay movement in a new, unusual and super interesting way.
there are definitely a lot of quotable moments in the book, and i think it could be an interesting introduction to queer activism history.
i didn't find the last few (more recent; late 90s early 00s) speeches quite as interesting, but they fully represented the emphasis placed on gay marriage for the last 2 or 3 decades of the movement.

Lagom talks about Swedish culture and way of life. it touches in many things that have been grabbing not only my attention but the larger public's: minimalism, sustainability, a more green/eco lifestyle.
This word symbolizes a life of "not too little, not too much".
I was surprised at how much i already relate to some of this - the staying in, comfy, homey, practical ideals are very much something that speaks to my soul.
It was very interesting to get to know more about Lagom and Sweden. (However, i do not intend to take in everything from it - i do not intend to become Swede, and you will not caught me camping again. ) Although sometimes too generalistic, i forgive it for that, since the author herself points out this exact issue - even that quite lagom.

A 3.5 perhaps; some parts, especially at "the book" portion, dragged a bit too much. But much more enjoyable than i thought it would be
forever a lovely read! i will protect these boys until my dying days
also i was listening to Digital Love (by Daft Punk) from page 230 onward, and i just love the song with those scenes and the lyrics fit quite nicely too. just, if anyone wants to try it sometime

While I'm only starting my rereads, this was a super fun one - JKR, either purposefully or by going back and then figuring out how to tie all those loose ends, really did something here. Besides the very obvious Horcrux clues , that will come back to us in Hallows, there are some marvelous lines that hint on the future of some characters (I distinctively remember some Percy foreshadowing), and she just knows how to sprinkle in what seem like throwaway lines with things that will come back to us further along, even if not in the way we expected (i.e. Vanishing Cabinet). All those Easter Eggs just make the reread super enjoyable. And also, it's always great to come back to Hogwarts.
easily the best book i read in 2018, and my new favorite book! it re-thought me what is like to fall in love with a story and its characters, for all their glory and all their flaws
