"To the person in the bell jar, blank and stopped as a dead baby, the world itself is a bad dream"
To a person who is entrapped in their head when mental illnesses and depression make them feel even smaller to the world, so small that they feel suffocated like they are under a bell jar; even after you come out the outer world will still feel like another bell jar of its own. The emotions and the realness in the story created by Plath is a message to the whole world depression and mental health should be taken more seriously. I would not recommend this to anyone suffering such pains of their own. However, it was a good eye-opener to anyone who wants to understand Slyvia Plath better.

As a person who hoped that animals could talk and think like humans, this was a  quite challenging book. Also, reading about how an animal farm is only an allegory of the constitutional and political society with the battle of supremacy and the working class was nicely depicted using animals in place. Thoroughly enjoyed!

I listened to the audiobook version of the story read by the author herself. It was at first a very weird story, however, there are topics like incest, child abuse and racism discussed in the eyes of adults and children both. 

I came to read this from "I, Pencil" by Lenoard Read. Economy is not a subject I enjoy. The idea was thrown out in big sentences so I get bored quiet easily. However, I wanted to read this as it is only 17 pages long.

A short but strong idea!

A sweet little story about how mother nature has proven some conventions do not need to remain the same forever. You still could be different and be accepted. 

It was very emotional and inspiring. I watched so many documentaries and the movie Lion that gave me an insight to the real Saroo's life. 

One of the best books I have read this year. It was sad but educational. I listened to the audiobook read by the author herself.it was more impactful.

A weird story but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I questioned the normal society's norms and my beliefs of it too. The characters were absurd and I was weirded out but I did like the main character.

A short story but a story that can be interpreted into many possibilities and a book that made me feel like stories can have indefinite outputs according to the reader. Recommended by BTS as well.
