The famous Peter Rabbit with wonderful illustrations is one of the the books I couldn't read as a kid but I wish I did. Finally I got my hands on the physical copy. It was written hundred years ago by Beatrix Potter for a sick young kid. It's very easy to read fun to look at the illustrations and also it's a cosy book. This year I have made it my goal to read Children fiction at least one each month, as a studying method for a personal project that I am working on. This was my March read. 

I really want to read more of Woolf's works. It's so rich in interesting writing style, even though it is tough to understand. This is my second time reading her works, and this being a short book, it took me more than a month to finish this. Written in a vignette style, it's filled with Woolf's commas and semicolons. Her use of modernist writing features such as interior monologues and distortion of time (this whole story happens from the morning to the night of one day). Still, it includes shifting multiple perspectives, which is also another feature of modernist writing styles. That, too, makes it a bit hard to keep up with the plot. One time you are reading about one character, and in the next, the perspective has already shifted naturally to another character. There are multiple characters in this story regardless of what happens within a day. All these characters would say something about our main character, who is already spoiled in the title of the book. It was a fascinating read. 

What is better than a book? A book about books and bookshops. I am a person who enjoys going to bookshops or libraries. Just seeing piles of books gives me butterflies in my brain. No seriously the dopamine release it gives me is another level. I love touching and smelling books and just in general walking into a bookshop and buy a couple of books. So this book was a 5 stars for me. The first 5 star book of 2023. 

There are bookish facts, great quotes from different authors/bookshop owners on reading and book in this book. It would also include stories about bookshops around the world: how they were started, about the owners and stories and events happened in these bookshops. I am also into travelling the world. And when I do travel in other countries one thing I make sure to do is visiting the bookshops there and buy a book or two. This book in that area would be a great inspiration. Love it! 

What should I say. It was too easy for a mystery plot. Usually murder mysteries have twists and turns and confusing details for the reader's. That's is the kind of book I would like if the puzzle is hard for myself to decode. BUT this one on the other hand I felt like everyone except the main character including us the readers had a pretty good idea what was going on. The main character was so oblivious and annoying. Even if she has any sort of condition (not sure it was the smartest choice for the writer to choose that on the main character) it did not have the hang of a true feel of a mystery novel. But overall it was an easy feel good read. 

I loved Winslet's voice performance for each character: the accent change from the age to size of the character. it was wonderful. this was a re-read for me in English as I read it as a kid in my mother language. overall highly enjoyed.

As a long-term Potterhead, I chose this book only because I knew I am gonna listen to Felton talking about back stage stories and unheard parts of Harry Potter. However, as the story progressed I was impressed how well he delivered his life story in such a vulnerable and raw manner. Yes the first part of the story about the Harry Potter co-stars and the details of the magical world was nostalgic to listen to but the second part of the story where he speaks about mental health, addiction and emotions and the want to be normal made me emotional. The things he spoke about were the things that all of us go through but we do not expect the people we are fans of to go through them. Reminded me of where the today's pop culture stands. As long as a celebrity say something do something it's a big deal. Sometimes we do not realise those are the same things same mental health problems we have as well. It's just nobody is gossiping about it. 

This book was recommended to me by my husband since he is a big fan of Matthew Reilly. Just as he described his books as being like a movie I couldn't put the book down. I finished it in 4 sittings (usually a book this big takes me weeks)

It was like reading a movie. That's right! I said reading a  movie. The writing style is meticulous details of everything happening in one frame, and cliffhangers and climax and anticlimax parts at the end of chapters: exactly how it would in a sci-fi techno-thriller. All action parts are amazing and will put you on edge. In some parts you will put the book down in disbelief at what just happened. I do not think I have ever been this loud reading a book. Loved it. 

This was really easy and interesting to read. All the pages and the ideas were conveyed through cartoon graphics with the topics like mental well-being, emotions and feelings (the same phrases/topics you would hear or see in general) but the execution of graphics were done in a very humorous and poignant manner. The drawing style reminded me of this illustrator on Instagram called Jeremyville. His illustrations have the same mannerism of motivating through literal and poignant illustrations. 

It has been a while I could not put a book down because the plot kept getting better and better. The plot twists, the secrets and the mystery within the story that happens in the span of just one night was crazy. Such an interesting novel! 

The characters are well-built and I hated Oliver with my whole heart and I didn't like Red as much. This is not a spoiler you would hate him right away you start reading the book as well. 

Also, I could kind of figure out the characters who were keeping the secrets before the story ended (this is probably because I watch too many crime/mystery shows, nothing could suprise me anymore) However the secrets and how they are all connected the story behind it I give full credits to the author for executing it perfectly and making me take this book to the toilet with me and even when I ate. It has been a while since I read a long book in one sitting. 

There were definitely parts where you would feel too confidential or too unrealistic But this being a YA book and also a mystery novel, I wouldn't see that as a downfall but rather a necessity for the story.
