Amazing novella. The whole concept of this book is very intriguing and the magic system is great as well. Loved the characters including Shai and Gaotona and some great writing from Sanderson in here as well.

This was a pretty good short story. Nice to see a new world in the Cosmere, and this one is particularly intriguing. The story was pretty good as well. The culture of the planet is very interesting and I would like to see it return in the future.

Didn't care much for the story, nice to know about the koloss. The annotations were quite funny.

Great novella. Can't say a lot about the plot without spoilers, to be honest the whole concept of this novella is a spoiler. I'll just say that I recommend reading the whole Cosmere upto this book's release date, to really get the most out of this story.

This was the best Era 2 book so far. As I have said in my previous Era 2 reviews, I loved the character arcs and the dynamics between them. While Wax and Wayne were great as usual, Marasi and Steris shined in this book also.
What I especially loved were the different areas that were explored. The first two books primarily take place in Elendel and the rest of Scadrial wasn't really important. Well, if you wanted to see more of the different cities, you will get that here.
The southern tribe and Allik were great as well.
However, I think the main reason for this getting such a high rating is the Sanderlanche because it is crazy. It just goes absolutely bonkers.
So yeah, this was great.

This was great. As I said in my Alloy of Law review, the evolution of Scadrial and the characters' banter is amazing. And while Alloy of Law was light-hearted, this is darker and more in line with some of the other Sanderson books.
What really made this book for me though was the tie ins with the original trilogy and the ending. I can't really say anything about the tie ins without spoiling stuff so yeah, about the ending. The reveal at the end was quite unexpected, to say the least, and sets up some interesting dilemmas.
Considering everything, I think I like this better than Alloy of Law, but its pretty close.

A nice, fun mystery. I liked how Sanderson handled the evolution of Scadrial and the characters and their dynamics were great. It wasn't as dense or complicated as something like Stormlight Archive but it was a fun read. Excited to continue with Era 2.

1984 is a scary, thought-provoking book. The themes and ideas expressed in this book are so interesting and the dystopian reality which the book is set in seems frighteningly possible. The writing is also great. The whole book seems ahead of its time. The only criticism I have is that it does drag a bit. I can see how this can be hard to read for some people. The pacing is what dropped it down from a perfect rating, but this is a true classic masterpiece.
