I didn’t know what to expect when reading this book. To be blunt, it seemed pointless.
Wow! This was an early birthday gift to myself. Seen several talk about it and I decided to splurge and buy it. I was surprised at a gem this was! Truly surprised! I don’t want to give spoilers, just best to go with as little info as possible. Was a hell of a Ride!
I felt there was a some creativity. I was able to connect with the twin characters however, the story did not feel balanced. There’s a sequel but I don’t think I’m interested enough to continue it.
I think Grady Hendrix is becoming one of my favorite authors. I love his writing and storytelling! Beautiful friendship here.
Update: it’s been a week later and I’m still thinking about this book. Still in my feels over it.

Trying to still process this one. This felt similar to a long bumpy drive and when you’ve arrived at the destination, your brain is still attempting to process all of what happened. Some of the characters and storylines fell a little flat but he made up for it with his writing. I seriously love this author. Grady Hendrix has become one of my favorites.
This book was a bit depressing. Kept me engaged and wanting to know what would happen. However… I’m left feeling disappointed. I felt the writing was good but I wanted a different ending or something…
