I always love reading this when the Holiday season starts. Such a quick and fun read. It helped with my
homesickness.

I've read some pretty bad reviews about this book and I disagree with all of them. I was hooked from the first chapter and tore through the whole thing. I loved all the characters, even the jerks. As I am on high school now, I could really relate to the kids and their weird, unexplainable, but somehow awesome relationships and how things don't always really work out.
I loved the plot and the message and I didn't think the writer tried too hard as so many of the other reviews have said. I recommended this to a friend before I was halfway done with it and I wouldn't take it back now!
One review I read said that the only people who could enjoy the book were people who didn't think hard enough about it. Sometimes it's nice to have a book that you can enjoy without giving yourself a headache (and this is one of those) but I reject the implication that it is not thought-provoking. It really made me think multiple times and I thought the writing was wonderful. I highly recommend The Beginning of Everything!
