This book is kind of like a biography/historical account if you added magical realism. A lot of it is about the Dominican Republic, Trujillo’s dictatorship, masculinity/machismo, love and queerness, folktale/superstition and just survival. It is really beautiful AND if u like Love & Rockets comic books Junot Diaz works w them alot they have similar feelz

This was an amazing ending to the trilogy and i loved the whole thing and the way everything was connected etc however i felt like the ending didnt really explain everything like ok they are not on earth but howd they get there and how come time is sped up now but it wasnt before?
