Good start to this trilogy, I think Harley's writing has lots of potential, I can see how it has improved significantly already, as I read Losers before this. Looking forward to reading the following books in the trilogy 😁

Honest review of TCC ARC

Did I go into this book expecting something quite different- yes. Having read other books by this author I went into this book expecting things to a be a little different. Was I surprised by the book? Yes but in the best way possible.

I cried through the last 10%, Jescie Hall sucked me in and had my stone cold heart bleeding.

The romance was so sweet and we got a beautiful love story about two people struggling to keep control of their lifes. There are ups and downs and situations that can make being a couple seem impossible, but Lake and Dylan work against those odds, with stumbles along the way.

Spice: 2 /5 🌶  (I'm a dark romance reader- if that helps you work out what level of spice this is)

I'm in love with all the side characters, Colin- LOVE, Kat- love, Candy- love!! Ash- love!! Jayden- love.

I think everything that comes out of Candy's mouth is my favorite 🤣

"Dylan, you fuck me up." Ain't that the truth, Lake.

As always it's clear Jescie does lots of research when writing her characters. The autism rep and family situation for Dylan was refreshing to read and clearly researched well.

I'm going to patiently wait for another book now, bc what and who was that ending?! 👀
