I rarely DNF a book but 10% in I had to make the call. Life’s too short, there’s too many good books to read. This one read like the plot to a bad movie. Messy writing. And judging from the reviews (which I checked afterward, since I don’t usually pay much attention to them) it wasn’t going to turn into something I was going to enjoy.

Not really what I was expecting! Definitely a bit of a slow burn, but a neat storyline and interesting characters.

A fun, quick read! Ends quite abruptly so I guess now I have to read the sequel.
