Picked this up on a whim at Costco, not realizing it was part of a series. Slow to get into, and I constantly felt like I was missing pieces of the story - which would make sense, since I hadn’t read the previous installments. Really had to push to get through this!
Three stars because it's a fast read and kept my interest... but probably closer to 2 stars because of its predictability.
I feel like the author just didn't try very hard. The set up for the story is exactly what happens... and that's it. There's no WHOA moment near the end, no plot twist. It's who she thought it was, who you thought it was, and frankly... it's not very creative. It could have been Jordan. Maybe Sara wasn't a real person after all and Chloe really was crazy. But... no. Just predictable.
