Great sequel. Can't wait for the next one. Loved the ending.

I liked it more than I thought I would. I had heard mixed reviews - most people loved it, but there were several who weren't fans of the violence, so I picked it up warily. It was violent, but I feel like the violence was necessary for the story that was being told, and it didn't bother me the way I thought it might. I'll definitely continue the series.

It reminded me a lot of Mulan. I liked it. Good story, strong characters.

A unique love story across time. Writing isn't bad, characters are pretty fleshed out, it's a decent YA romance novel.

As far as a "middle book" goes, this was pretty good. It kept me interested in the story, and the cliff-hanger was enough to make me read the final one, and this one didn't really feel like "fluff". It was it's own chapter of the trilogy - completely necessary, and it held it's own.
