SGJ does it again. A slasher from the perspective of the slasher himself. A teenage boy is cursed to enact bloody revenge in the way another kid might be cursed to turn into a werewolf every full moon. 
Unflinching, brutal, heartbreaking. 

Extremely cute romance between a spooky bookseller and a documentarian working on a film about local hauntings. 

Riley Sager never fails to make me gasp aloud while reading. I always forget there will be a *twist*, so I never see it coming! I liked this one a lot. A kid goes missing while camping in his best friend’s yard. 30 years later his best friend is still haunted by it, perhaps literally, and is desperate to finally solve the mystery. 

This book starts out campy and silly (HGTV but make it haunted) then slowly and quietly the camp is carved away to reveal a tender and thoughtful meditation about what makes a person and what makes life worth living. This book hit me in unexpected ways. 

This rivals to lovers trans, gay romance is a grand slam.
