I think my favorite thing about this read was that the pacing was masterful. I was always excited for the next time that I got to pick it up and that is because the story never slowed down. The more you learn about the world and the politics the more aware you become of just how much we don’t know. And this makes me very excited for book two because I have no idea where it will go, but I’ll be there!

Well… I love it even more than PWMOV. To my friends who recommended it, thank you! The characters are so masterfully crafted that they feel like some of the realest contemporary romance characters I’ve ever read. I feel like there’s likely a little healing here for everyone…

I had a really great time listening to this audiobook performance. The voice actor does accents and I was thoroughly entertained. This was so cute! I feel hopeful about humanity after this read. I think it would be a great beach read or palette cleanser for those into the main themes of queer love and politics.

I love Abby’s ability to very quickly help us know who characters are at their core. This book was very well written, but Abby’s books always have an element of a very real life difficulty that people go through every day that can be hard to read. If you’re looking for something strictly light and fluffy, pick these up at another time. If you love that kind of depth from a romance, you’ll love Abby Jimenez. I cried a great deal at this one because one of the content warning level topic is very close to home for me. So, consider reading trigger warnings for her books if you know you could be put in a vulnerable place.
