I enjoyed this, it took me a little while to warm up to the main characters, like their relationship with each other, I really liked them and thought their relationship was very cute

I could see sh!t was going to hit the fan in the 3rd act and it was so good, I didn't see what happened after coming

- MM romance
- sports romance - rowing
- university setting
- slow burn

Thank you to Bonnier Books UK / Zaffre and NetGalley for the eARC - all opinions are my own

This was cute and I really enjoyed the narration

I thought this was a great story, it kept me entertained the whole time

- YA
- high school setting
- fake dating

This was so cute!!!

- sports romance - football player x ice hockey player
- brothers best friend
- age gap
- they agree to become (fake) friends to reform their images
- slow burn
- queer romance - bi FMC & pan MMC

I love that they became friends and got to really know eachother and help each other before they fell in love, it was so cute to see

This was a good listen, I enjoyed the main character and how she took ownership for the hurt she caused when she was hurting.

I loved this book!! I loved being back in this universe with the mix of new and familiar faces

This book tore my heart out several times and some of the deaths in the arena were brutal (and im not looking forward to seeing those in the film)

I was so excited about this book, ive seen so much love for it online and it sounded great but i found the fmc really annoying and i just dont see myself picking it up again anytime soon

I almost DNFed this book and I'm so glad I didn't, it took me a while to get into it with the 3 separate storylines (I was just getting into one storyline and then you'd be yanked into another and then have to wait before going back to it) and I was considering stopping instead of pushing through.

Then I saw someone on Instagram talking about Beth's book (I can't remember who's it was now) and they said that the plot twist in this was so good and shocking in this book (can confirm) so I thought I'd stick it out and I'm so glad that I did.

This book took a completely different direction than I thought it would and once we hit the 3rd act where everything starts slotting into place it was so good.

The plot twist is so insane I'm so happy that I continued reading it and seeing all the separate storylines come together

Love the duet narration and the narrators are great

The tension and the build up was so good!! Although this is a slow burn the build up and then pay off is SO worth it

- childhood best friends to lovers
- long term mutual crushes
- fake engagement
- pop star x pro ice hockey player
- sports romance

I love how bad they had it for each other, especially Aleks I feel like he was a lot more open with his feelings, although Mia couldn't tell (or was just telling herself it was all fake so she didn't get hurt)

The ending was so cute, I honestly had no clue how this was going to end but it was so good

I loved being back in this world and with these characters

The second epilogue debuting Carter and Livia's book, oh my gosh - if you've read any of these books you know how bad Carter has it for Liv and I'm so excited for their book now

Thank you so much to Kandi and her team for the ALC - all opinions are my own

Enjoyed this

Was a great quick read - although its over 400 pages I felt like I was flying through it

I enjoyed the annoyance to friends to lovers and liked that we got to be there for all of it

- YA romance
- dislike to friends to lovers
- fake dating
- ‘lets kiss for practice’
- dual pov / first person

I really enjoyed this epic adventure that we went on with these characters - it was so fun, although I'm not sure I'd like to do any of the challenges that they did

- fake dating
- forced proximity
- LGBTQ romance - MM
- competing on a TV show

I loved these two characters and how real they felt, I love how open they were with each other and supported each other through the hard times

The first spicy scene is living rent free in my head - it was so unique

I was shocked over the thing that led to the third act conflict - I wasn't expecting it at all and it was so good

I will say there was a couple of times I got confused over where we actually were - the chapter headers does show it but as the characters move around so much (ik this is fictional but who approved that travel plan it was all over the place) I did get confused and have to double check and remind myself

Overall I enjoyed this book and it would make the perfect poolside reading this summer
