funny lighthearted medium-paced

I really enjoyed the fake dating in this and that Anh kept accidently forcing them into uncomfortable situations - it made it so fun

- fake dating
- 'its always been you' vibes from Adam

I LOVED this when I eyeball read it earlier this year, and I still do love the story, however I just didnt vibe with the narrators, their voices didnt really click with what I imagined theyd sound

This was more emotional than I was expecting and it really felt like I went on the emotional journey with them whilst enjoying the plot twists and adventures of their physical journey

I love a book with a good road trip in it (mainly for the forced proximity between the MCs) and this was so fun, it took me a while to warm up into it, just as things seemed straight forward and we were only really seeing the characters at surface level stuff. But the further they got into their journey, the more plot twists that kept coming, and the more we got to know the characters and they were opening up the more I enjoyed it

- forced proximity
- strangers to lovers
- road trip
- 1st person, duel pov

CW: Grief (prev death of a love one, happened pre-book) unhealthy/toxic relationships with parents, alcoholic parent

Thank you to Headline Eternal and NetGalley for the ARC, all opinions are honest and my own

It took me a while to get into this book, I found the FMC kinda annoying to start with but as the story went on I understood her more and began to really like her. I liked the MMC and all the side characters - they're all really fun

Im a sucker for a grand gesture and this one did not disappoint

- brothers best friend
- fake dating (?)

I liked this book more than I thought I would going into it, I know all of Laurens books are hugely popular and I tried to read another one of her books but ended up dnfing after not vibing with the writing style, however enjoyed this one - think switching format really helped as well

I really liked both narrators and thought the story was very cute
challenging mysterious medium-paced

I really enjoyed this one - think it was my fave out of all of this series. I like that there were several on going games which all intertwined

I said this on my review of book 2 and ill say it again, i did enjoy the audio and is easy to follow and the story often recaps prev clues/answers so you know exactly what the characters know and how they got to that conclusion. My only issue is that there are so many moving parts and so much information that i kinda wish i had eyeball read it just so i can flick through and actually look at everything that happened

This book gave me all the feels!! It was so good. I loved how their friendship developed and how it naturally turned into a relationship

I didn't think I was a friends to lovers slow burn girly but after reading some others (Exes and Os, The Love Wager) and now this I deffo am

Wasn't the biggest fan of the whole 'and that was before everything changed' foreboding that we kept getting at the end of chapters in part 3 and then the 'conflict' or whatever not being that shocking. To me it built it up a lot just to be a bit predictable and fell a bit flat

- friends to lovers
- slow burn
- age gap
- single parent vibes (he's kinda the guardian of his much younger little sister)
- duel pov

Took me a while to get into and then I was fully invested and wanted to know what happened next

The ending is kinda wrapped up but also left me with so many questions i cant wait to start the next one

I am enjoying the audiobook, despite all the moving parts it is easy to follow but at times i wish i was eyeball reading this series just so i can highlight parts to reference and really keep track of whats happening cos i can tell you i enjoyed this book but cant tell you what exactly happened as so much did and this isnt a genre i typically read i think having the text in front of me would help with that

I liked this book, a good small town romance. I really liked the setting and felt like I could picture the whole place, also liked all the characters and the plot.

I do wish that we got to see a lot more of the early stages of Camilla's and Bennett's friendship/relationship and really see that develop a lot more

- small town
- grumpy x sunshine
- dual POV
- Latina FMC

Thank you to the author for letting me read an ARC
