This was a good quick read
I know it's only a novella but the hate to love was very quick, and I just don't think I got the full connection between the two characters
- novella
- historical romance
- stuck in a snowstorm
- only one bed
- hate to love
Thank you to NetGalley and Zealous Quill Press for the arc - all opinions are my own

This book deserves all the stars - I loved every single page and want to live in this story with Grace and Jaxson forever 🥰
It's probably no secret that Kandi is one of my fave authors, I love the way she builds the tension between characters and when it suddenly snaps it's always in the best and hottest way
Also, Kandi has a way in stringing together scenes and events over several chapters where all the emotions just grow and grow, sucking you right into the story. The festival🥰 to the hotel room🥵 to the airport drop off🥲 had me all in my feels and loving it, I forgot for a sec that it was a Kandi book and she likes to cause pain so when the golf tournament came along I was shocked.
This isn't insta-love but I love the way that Grace and Jaxson instantly were connected and just understood each other - it led to the sweetest of moments between them
I'm a sucker for a road trip romance - the forced proximity, the freedom of no one knowing who you are/with and you can just be yourself, the hotels never having enough rooms/beds - all just lead to a great time and this book is no exception. I loved experiencing all the adventures and the vivid descriptions of it all. I want to go on every road trip with them please
I'm pretty sure I highlighted about 90% of everything that Jaxson said cos his dirty talk is top tier but also the way he talks to/about Grace had me in my feels constantly
Also Kandi said I see you only one bed and I raise you only one tent and I loved it even more
I've probably missed off a thousand things I loved about this book but if you take one book rec from me all year please let it be this one
- brothers best friend / teammates little sister
- road trip
- secret/hidden relationship
- age gap
- only one bed / tent
- forbidden
- pro hockey / sports romance
Thank you to Kandi and her team for the arc, all opinions are my own

I loved every second of this book
I loved the characters, how real they felt and I saw parts of myself in parts of them. I love the instant chemistry/attraction and the build of their love/relationship throughout and how they just got and understood the other
I'm mad at myself for not picking up a book by Chloe sooner (I know Sarah and Becs love her so obvs I would too), I really loved her writing and can't wait to read more
- opposites attract
- meddling friends/family
- fake dating
- meet disaster

I enjoyed going back to this universe and experiencing it through different people's povs
This is a duel pov story essentially made up of two different storylines so I'm glad I eyeball read it over audio just as it was easier for me to pay attention to each story and what was happening
There were some periods where I wasn't fully connected with the story, where it got a bit slower in one pov and wanted to switch back to the other pov where something was happening
- YA
- mystery
- two POVs with parallel storylines
- spin off to The Inheritance Games series (recommend to read them but don't think it's fully needed to understand this story)

I didn't have it in me to stick out the last hour of this, the FMC is constantly fighting her feelings for the MMC and it's so frustrating, I wanted a cute Christmassy novella and it just wasn't giving it

I really enjoyed this book such good wintery/Christmas vibes
I liked both the main characters, there were a couple of times I got a little frustrated with the MMC but all worked out okay in the end
This is a slow burn (literally don't kiss until 70%) and I'm not a huge lover of slow burns, however there was flirting, chemistry, both MCs internally gushing about their feelings for each other, "dates" (kinda not actual dates as the MMC is in a different relationship for majority of the book - no cheating happens) - all of this I love and made the build up to the kiss so worth it
Chapter 25 had me shocked - I didn't see it coming, it was worth it tho
The humour in this book was spot on and exactly my cup of tea
- 'hey so I told this girl that keeps hitting on me that you're my girlfriend so maybe we should kiss so she leaves me alone'
- second chance
- medaling sibling/best friend
- coworkers
- winter/christmas setting

I couldnt get into this book and connect with the characters and the storyline

I liked this, took me a while to get into the story and did struggle with the narrator at times - took me half the book to realise they were saying supper club and not summer club.
I really enjoyed the ending tho
- small town
- family secret
- closed door

I loved this book and I'm so sad that this series is over
This was a rollercoaster and Kandi really played with my emotions, there were several points where I thought it was all going to go to shit but I'm so glad that everyone got their happy ending
I loved all these characters (well at least by the end, the start and middle for some was definitely questionable) and wish I could go on living with them for a while longer (just without all the drama)
Highly recommend this series to anyone who has read and loved Kandi's other books - this is like that to the max with all the drama, plot twists, spice for 6 main characters. Just be prepared to drop your tbr instantly cos you'll be hooked and want to binge read all 7 in one go - also please check CW/TW for the whole series before diving in

Jess' chapters I honestly had no clue what was going to happen next like I was on the edge of my seat, I love Jarrett but Kade is endgame for me and I really hope that happens
The confession between [redacted] and [redacted] in Ep6 I was screaming like I didn't think we'd be here but I'm loving it
I love the final chapter, like the friendship and love between all the girls and the journey we've been on with them I'm not ready for the series to be over
