I really enjoyed this book, it's definitely a lot more character focused than the rest of the series
- omegaverse (MMMFF)
- queer
- slow burn but also there's smut within the first 10% (so the pack relationship is slow burn but the individual relationships within are either already established or are the opposite of slow burn (fast burn??))
I really like that we got to explore all the individual pack relationships and get to see all their insecurities and how they grew and overcame them

At first I wasnt too sure about the FMC in this book but she grew on me and I’m glad I stuck with it
- sports romance (dance teacher x hockey player)
- single dad x nanny
- forced proximity
- duet narration
- dual pov, 1st person
I really enjoyed both the narrators and loved that this was duet narration - it made it so much better
I like that this book takes place over a long timeframe, it was great pacing and didnt feel too rushed or too drawn out
I found it a bit weird that the fmc always referred to the mmc by his full name the whole time and everyone else was just their first name
I really enjoyed the plot and the journey that we went on with the two main characters and how they helped each other heal and grow after past pain/trauma

This is definitely slow burn and less picy compared to the other books in the series but still a great time
I love how grumpy Smith was and how he was still pretending to be grumpy despite falling for Cami
With this being a slow burn the first spicy scene between the two MCs is so good and worth the wait imo
I love seeing Liv and her pack from the previous book in this series
- omegaverse (MF)
- pop star x bodyguard
- forced proximity
- slow burn

This was so fun! There was a great balance between spice and plot imo
- omegaverse (MMMF)
- queer (3 bi MMCs)
- brothers best friend / 'its always been you' vibes
At first I wasn't too sure about the FMC and found her slightly annoying, however as the story went on I really started to like her
I loved all of the MMCs and how different they were and still managed to balance each other out
This is a great quick read and can't wait to read more of this series

Overall I just didn't connect with this book as much as the start of the series (WYM was one of my top reads of 2023), which sucks as I was really looking forward to this one, the tropes in this are so of my faves so I was so hyped for it. I'm not sure if it's cos I'm in a reading slump and just not connecting with a tonne of what I'm reading, or if it was this particular storyline or a combination of everything
- single dad x nanny
- sports romance (pro hockey)
- spicy lessons
- forced proximity
- 1st person, dual pov
- can be read as a standalone
Love:
- found family vibes
- when the spice hits and the tension first snaps it's so good
- so many cute moments with Ava and you can see how much Chloe cares for her and how she's really helped Will come out of the shell he's been living in since his wives death
- how supportive and welcoming the girl group is
Bits I struggled with:
- slow burn (overall just not my reading vibe), it takes a whole for anything to happen between the MCs, they've both got lots of baggage to unpack (Will with death of best friend/wife, Chloe with matriarchals 'men are trash') so slow burn is fully understandable but it just took a long time for things starting to happen which just isn't my vibe
- lack of communication about their feelings within the 3rd act, for me I just got a bit frustrated with them both avoiding talking about feelings/being scared, like it's understandable and Kandi is so good at building angst within her books, and with this one I was more just getting frustrated at the main characters rather than enjoying the angst and just wanted them to actually discuss things instead of avoiding and spending time being hurt
Thank you to Kandi and her team for giving me and arc in exchange for my honest opinion

I enjoyed this book, the first act had so many twists and turns I didn't know what would happen next
The romance kinda felt like a subplot to the spy plotline - however this isn't a bad thing imo
I enjoyed all the action and drama, it really kept me hooked
- single pov / 1st person
- mistaken identity
- computer hacker x spy
- insta-lust

I really enjoyed this
- small town, cowboy romance
- barrel racing fmc
- brothers best friend
- sneaking around
I relisted to this via audio and I loved it so much more this time around compared to when I read the ebook last year (I thought it was good but nothing special)
I love the journey we go on with Emmy and her getting her confidence back and how Luke turns out to be her rock throughout it
I listened to this after learning that it was picked up by universal tv with the series to be developed into a show, and there's so many moments that I could picture so clearly in my mind I cant wait to see what happens with it

This was a great listen! I enjoyed the plot and the narrators
The meet cute was so good and funny
I loved all the characters in this book and the life they brought to the story
I loved that you could see how much the mmc cared about the fmc even when he was in the denial stage/this is just a marriage of convenience and I won't get feelings for her
I wish we got more time with the characters after the third act conflict, it didn't feel rushed but I was just left wanting more
- sports romance (American football)
- marriage of convenience
- he buys her the bookstore she works at and hopes to one day own

This was a great read, my first book by this author and I'll definitely be checking out more from them
I really enjoyed how chaotic the main characters were together, it lead to a lot of funny moments
The ending/the getting back together felt a bit rushed, I wished it was dragged out a little more and got to spend some time with them actually together
- second chance
- fake dating-ish / pretending to still be together
- slow burn
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood books for the arc - all opinions are my own
