I’ve read all three of this series now (in the reverse order, because I’m a chaos reader but the books basically standalone) and Ari Baran is now definitely one of my favorite contemporary authors. This book is the darkest of the series in some ways (check the content warnings) but I really loved it. I just could have done with more time spent with them at the end, unpacking and luxuriating in the HEA.

This was a fun romp. My first of Amalie Howard’s books, and while I’m not going to dive rabidly into her backlist, I will definitely try more of her books.
