Just when I think Edward couldn't be more creepy.
And Zelda and Hilda are down right scary. Just when I thought it couldn't get anymore darker, this series surprised me yet again. Now to try to wait patiently for the next issue without pulling my hair out.

It was a love hate relationship to be honest.
Don't get me wrong. I love the series, I really do and there is no doubt that George R.R. Martin is a great mind and writer, but my feelings on this book are mixed. I wanted to love it, I really really did, (i didn't hate it, just found it...dragging) but I'm going to break down what I thought in parts.
For me there wasn't much character development at all. I get there's A LOT of characters, but if I hadn't seen the series, then I would feel literally nothing for these people. Same goes for description of characters. There was too many names and important people to keep track off. I didn't feel any emotion from the characters. Especially when Drogo and Ned died. It was just like... Okay it's over now. Next chapter bye. There were times where I couldn't wait to read it, and times where I wasn't 100 percent sure I was going to finish it.
I made a promise to myself that if I was to write a book review id be honest. But I'm not denouncing this series. I'm actually going on to read the second book in the hopes that I do find I love it and hope that fans of the show (and people looking for an interesting read set in an incredible world) pick this up and give it a go. But it took me 3 attempts to finish this one. I
I gave it a three as for me, while I love the story and the world he had created, I couldn't get rid of the feeling that without the tv show, I wouldn't be able to put a face to a name or feel how the characters felt, which is something I've never had trouble with before.

Go Lions!
I absolutely adored this novel. It was a perfect mix of humour and friendship, and even though a book about football was new for me, I loved every single second and I'm so glad i made this my first read of 2019.

This was a fun twist to the character of veronica. Like buffy meets Riverdale except buffy is a vampire. The story was pretty simple and quick paced. Greg and Meg Smallwood did a beautiful job with the art, giving this comic the same vibes and aesthetics of the other Archie Horror comics - that feel that your experiencing a classic monster movie told on modern times.
I really enjoyed this novel. I haven't read a mystery since "one of us is lying" and I'm glad I picked this book up. I'll admit I thought it was something different from what it was going to be (like the murderer coming back and starting killing again) but that doesnt mean I didn't love every second. I struggled to put it down as I was pulled into Monica's world and her desire to find out what happened to her sister and the cheerleaders. The story flowed easily and the characters were interesting and I resonated with them easily as well. Was a great read and I'm glad I chose this book for my January reads and I will be picking up more of Kara Thomas's books in the future.
That ending though
I wasn't sure what to expect when I went into this book, but it came highly recommended from my boyfriend. I really loved it. The atmosphere of pain and fear that that the girls went through, the mystery of everything, the twists and turns. I really didn't know what was going to happen round the corner. Kinda hoping for some sequel or maybe a prequel. Anyone who loves mysteries, horrors and witches. It was a refreshing take on the usual twitchy horror type books.
