First of all, ignore the bad reveiws because its just hate preached by tired TERFS who have nothing better to do than spread hate and are just mad because someone had the guts to put all their nastiness and hate down on paper for the world to see. Grow up you absolute rockets. 

I've had this on my tbr since it came out, and won a giveaway from a friend on Instagram who has done nothing but praise this book to high heaven, so I had big expectations going in and I was really excited. 

It did not disappoint and it was incredible. It was a wild, ruthless ride from start to finish. A brilliant distopian with such a horrifying concept. It reminded me of The Last Of Us. You could never tell what was coming. 

I've struggled to write this reveiw as I can't really put it into words so I'm probably just gonna ramble. 

This was so unapologetic and horrific and gory and beautiful. Its a tremendously heavy read and it was painful to read in parts; but it also made my laugh so hard my sides hurt, and it made me sob like a baby. There was nothing this book did not have and it did not hold back. 

I loved the characters so much on every level. They were so layered and complex and completely dysfunctional but they just fit so well together, like missing jigsaw pieces, and you just root for them at every single turn. 

Although this was a dystopian, it felt so real. You could feel the frustrations and sadness seep from the characters and up through the pages. The TERFS made me so angry I wanted to scream and jump into the book and the story just was woven so beautifully. 

There's diversity. There's love. There's hate. There's found family, and queerness and guts and gore and everything in between. Please check TW's before you read this though as it does get very real and heavy from the get go, but it's so worth it and it's a book that everyone should read 

I feel like words cant do this justice. Im so happy a book like this exists and is out in the world. This was a fantastic queer horror that had firmly put Gretchen Felker-Martin on my autobuy list. 

This was perhaps the most chilling installment by far, and the one I really resonated with the most, as it took me back to my own childhood of growing up in a small, country mining village. Full of demons, witchcraft and urban legends, slightly echoing the Salem Witch Trials in a way, Matt Wesolowski weaves a tale that will have you second guessing everything and will tug on your heartstrings, and really shows how harmful and dangerous a small town mentality could be, especially to young boys. 

It bone chilling and addictive and the podcast form really adds such a beautiful aspect of storytelling.

What I love about the Six Stories series is that it never fails to shock, suprise and immerse you. With each interview you start to build up a picture and "think" you know what really went down, but then the next interview completely changes your mind while adding more intense elements, crucial clues and raising the chilling atmosphere higher and higher. It also echos real life culture and you can see some parallels with things that have played out in real life, and how we idolise musicians and celebrities and  how some are willing to overlook red flags and let them get away with doing whatever.
