To be honest this whole series was not.... good. But it was a quick and easy read, which surprised me considering how lengthy the books are. The plot twists were kind of predictable and I got a little tired of all the angst and bitterness of some characters by the end -cof cof Nesta I am looking at you- but I can’t say that I didn’t like the drama and conflicts amongst everyone. I enjoyed the grey aspects of most of the characters, but Feyre’s self righteousness made her character stagnant at some point, and her actions became tiresome. OH and I can’t forget the sparkle of queerness that suddenly made itself present by the end of the book, that just didn’t downed well with me.

not gonna lie, this was a liiiiittle bit triggering but not really in a harmful way, more in a “this is way too accurate and now I’m uncomfortable” way. Very addictive read.

I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. I have a love/hate relationship with V.E. Schwab; the way she writes and how visual her storytelling is to me has always been a delight, but her plots can be messy and I was yet to read a book of hers that I truly loved the ending of. Until this one. The characters were sometimes a little one dimensional, and it can get tiring of reading about the same women becoming the muse of so many artists. But, as Addie herself is, I think I needed some almost defiant kind of joy right now, and this was a great fit for that.
