I might have enjoyed this more if I knew more about Elektra and Kingpin? I did LOVE all of the Spidey & Wolverine moments. I would prefer a story that's straight up just Spider-Man annoying Wolverine and never getting around to the weird zombie ninja thing? But uh.. I understand that my opinions are perhaps not representative of the average Wolverine fan.

ohhh myyy godddd I laughed so much at the idea that WOLVERINE CAN TALK TO ELEPHANTS??? AND ALSO CYPHER AND QUENTIN QUIRE CAN TALK TO ELEPHANTS?? And also Kitty Pryde is teaching a class on superhero costumes??? Juuust the kind of delightful weirdness I can get on board with. Also, kind of... weirdly preachy about ivory poaching? And I mean... it's not like I support ivory poaching, but in 2015 isn't that the kind of thing we're all pretty much on board with opposing? HMM.

Anyway the other story in here, about Wolverine being a 30s bootlegger who takes in a band of children after their father gets killed by rival bootleggers, SOUNDS like it would be delightful but I was a little bored by it.

I liked the one where Wolverine joined a Chicana biker gang, although also, what?

The one where hand-wavey scientists brainwashed Jubilee into thinking she was the superhero and Wolverine was her sidekick was kinda adorbs.

The WWI one was fine.

The one where he got taken in by a LITERAL WOLF was mildly annoying.

This took me a little while to get into, but once I got into it, I was HOOKED.

Also I want to re-read it ASAP/

Also normally I kind of hate magical realism soo if I liked it, that's a really good sign.

I don't even know how to rate this. It reads like a Wikipedia entry about street racing blended with some game character stats sheets, plus some Oz fanfiction??

As with any anthology, I liked some more than others, but overall it's a good collection that I'd definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't want kids, or is on the fence about having kids. There's an interesting variety of perspectives and attitudes.

(If you already have kids there's probably not much here for you.)

I feel really uncharitable toward these fictional teens. I can definitely remember the feelings of angst and extreme importance assigned to dumb shit, and I think for teens in the moment of being teens this would be fine. Even for me, in a different mood, perhaps. But as it was I was just like "ughhhhhhhh shut up about your stupid minor problemssssssss"

I thought the gaming aspect was interesting? I wish it were more games, less "real life."

Probably angsty gamery teens will enjoy this.
