This story was just blah. I didn't care for the characters or the story at all. It was very slow placed imo and did not have much intrigue.

I recieved an arc at Bookcon!

Where do I start.... ok so this book is definitely a, let's walk and talk and not do a whole lot, for like half the book. And that part was boring, and I get that it was more focused on the characters but I just didn't care that much. I was bored. BUT! The parts that were not that were PHENOMENAL! I am super over a character right now, but I won't say who.

If you remotely liked the first book, I suggest grabbing this now. Oh, and it leaves on a big cliffhanger again.

4.5 stars- review to come

Knocked a star off because of instalove. Otherwise I loved it and I NEED MORE!!!

Where do I even begin?? This whole concept of this book blew my mind. Cities are embodied as people, and all the boroughs of New York City are individuals themselves. Basically, cities have souls. I love New York City with a passion that I get from my dad loving the city. I have really wanted to go back and visit again, but with the pandemic, I obviously cannot. This book whisked me away into the beauty and magic of New York with an added bonus of a wonderfully crafted story. There were parts of this book that shook me to my core.

"Come, then, City That Never Sleeps. Let me show you what lurks in the empty spaces where nightmares dare not tread."

This line made me physically gasp. I had to actually close the book as well and regain my senses for a moment.

This book is a treasure, and I am so happy I picked it up. If you like the idea of this book, or love NYC at all, read this. You won't regret it.

4.5 stars! This book definitely had it all. It was a wild and crude fantasy filled ride, and I'm so happy to have picked it up. I look forward to the second book.

Omg all the feels... WHY?!
