I should have NEVER dnfd this. I listened to this in one go and I feel ALL the feels. Going to go preorder Concrete Rose right meow.

I don't even know what to say. This was a pretty big disappointment though.

Ok I have small things to say. Where was Harper this entire book? Why did she do nothing? Why is Grey... not Grey and with no real character segwey into why he is like this now? Fuck you Rhen. Lia Mara is one of the most boring characters I have ever encountered. I honestly think I'm being generous with 3 stars. I'm going to read book 3, but I'm nervous tbh.

This book was full of the feels. Within the first 10 pages I knew it was going to make me feel things. Props to the author for being such a beautiful writer. Now... do we get book 2 or...??? I need more.

4.5 stars. This is a lovely, wonderful book. Fascinating plot, intriguing world, gripping characters, with no romance, a strong female lead and friendship, with some political intrigue sprinkled on top. This is the book we needed this year. I need book 2 right meow!

3.5 stars. Kind of slow but nothing going on. I'll read the sequel though.
